The Garfield Trail is not a physical trail per se, but rather a conceptual and historical journey known as a “Cradle to Grave” connection that intricately links the four main Garfield sites located in the picturesque region of northeast Ohio. These sites are significant as they represent key milestones in the life of James A. Garfield, the 20th President of the United States, and they illustrate the various phases of his life, from his humble beginnings to his final resting place. The four main sites include his birthplace in Moreland Hills, where he first entered the world and began his journey, Hiram College, which played a pivotal role in shaping his educational foundation and intellectual pursuits, James A.
